The Library Endowment Fund was formally established by the Board of Directors in 2009. It is a perpetual fund whose principal is invested, and the income earned from the Fund is available for the library.

Gifts to the Library Endowment Fund can be as cash, property, securities, trusts, in-kind gifts, wills & bequests and insurance policies.

Discuss specifics with your legal advisor. Legal documents naming the Foundation as a beneficiary should include its official name: Alachua County Library District Foundation, Inc.

The Alachua County Library District Foundation is a Florida nonprofit organization recognized as a tax-exempt public charity under IRC Section 501(c)(3). Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. No goods or services were provided in exchange for your donation. Please consult your attorney/CPA/financial advisor regarding your individual situation; Alachua County Library District Foundation does not provide legal or tax advice. All gifts are subject to review and acceptance under our Gift Acceptance Policy, and we may decline gifts that are restricted, encumbered, or that create undue administrative or financial obligations.
